How can we help?

We read every message. Below are answers to the questions we hear most — and a direct line to us.

Include your PixGlobe Support ID if you can (in the app: Settings → Copy Support ID) — it's a random identifier that helps us find error reports you've sent us, and it contains nothing about you or your photos.

Common questions

Where are my photos? Are they uploaded?

PixGlobe reads your photo library's metadata — including where and when each photo was taken — on your device, and shows your library as places on a 3D globe. PixGlobe never uploads your photos to us or Mapbox. When you open a photo you can favorite, share, or delete it: Favorite and Delete update your own device's photo library (on iOS, Apple may sync those through iCloud), and Share hands a rendered copy — with its embedded GPS location removed — to a destination you choose. See the Privacy Policy.

How do I open the photos for a place?

Tap a glowing pin. Its photos open on the lower half of the screen — a grid when the place has several, the photo itself when it has one — and the globe stays live above them. Tapping a cluster (a pin showing a number) opens everything inside it as one grid. Double-tap anywhere on the globe to zoom in.

Drag the divider between the map and the photos to give the photos more room, up to full screen; keep pulling down past the smallest size to close the photos and return to the globe. There's also a close button in the upper right.

Why does the globe move when I swipe between photos?

That's the point of it — as you swipe, the globe recenters on wherever each photo was taken, and the pin you're looking at is marked with a bright green ring. It keeps your zoom, pitch and rotation while it moves, so you stay at the altitude you chose. The map is never locked: you can pan, zoom or tap another pin at any time.

The toggle under the photos chooses what you're swiping through: This place (just this place's photos) or Timeline (your whole library, in time order). Switching keeps you on the photo you were looking at. A second toggle switches between the grid and a single photo.

What does Play do?

It's the trip down memory lane. Open a single photo and press the play arrow at the bottom: PixGlobe steps through your photographs in chronological order and flies the globe to each one's place as it arrives, so you retrace the journey the way you actually took it. The other arrow plays in reverse, and loop keeps it running.

What you retrace depends on the scope toggle: stay on this place and you're reliving one visit; switch to Timeline and it runs through your whole library, year after year. The controls fade out while it plays — touch the screen to bring them back, and playing pauses the moment you take over.

Some photos don't appear on the globe.

Photos without location data can't be placed on the map — they're in the Unmapped collection so they're never lost. Photos shared to you by messaging apps or exported by other services often have location stripped. Your Camera Roll is one tap away too — the photos for the dates you're viewing, mapped or not.

If I delete a photo in PixGlobe, is it gone?

Delete removes the photo from your own device's photo library, so your device asks you to confirm it first — cancelling changes nothing. On iOS, a deleted photo goes to Recently Deleted, recoverable for up to 30 days unless you remove it sooner, and if iCloud Photos is on, Apple syncs the deletion to your other Apple devices, the same as deleting in the Photos app. On Android, whether a deleted photo can be recovered afterward is handled by your device, not by PixGlobe.

The app says photo access is limited or off.

PixGlobe explains what it can see in Settings and on the globe screen. To change access, open your device's Settings app and find PixGlobe's photo permission (on iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → PixGlobe; on Android: Settings → Apps → PixGlobe → Permissions). Limited access works fine — PixGlobe indexes just the photos you selected.

What's free, and what does Pro add?

PixGlobe is free to use, and it stays free — no time limit, nothing to cancel. You get the globe with your entire library mapped onto it, your last twelve months of photographs, the photo viewer over a live map, the slideshow, and the Vintage Atlas theme.

PixGlobe Pro unlocks every year you've photographed rather than just the last twelve months, the theme picker so you can change your look, and clusters and Unmapped — where you can place and date your unmapped photos — plus share and export. It's a one-time unlock, not a subscription. Full details on Purchases & Refunds.

I bought Pro — how do I get it on a new phone?

Use Restore Purchases in PixGlobe's Settings. The unlock is tied to the store account you bought it with — your Apple ID or Google account — so it follows you to a new device at no extra cost. PixGlobe has no login of its own — the store handles all of it, and we never see your payment details.

How do I start over / delete everything?

Settings → Delete All PixGlobe Data removes the on-device photo index, the derived places and visits, caches, and user-facing settings. Your photos and your Photos permission are untouched, and indexing stays paused until you choose Rebuild from Photos.

Something's wrong — how do I report it?

In the app: Settings → Prepare Diagnostic Report. You'll see the exact report text — it contains only your Support ID, app and OS versions, library counts, and recent error codes — and you choose whether to email it (or, if Mail isn't set up on your device, use Copy Report and paste it into any email). Or just write to us at the address above.

PixGlobe is made by WageCop LLC. It has no ads and no accounts, and processes your photo library entirely on your device.
